A Still-Life exhibition featuring the paintings of Stuart Dunkel*

(*Stuart Dunkel will be providing a free painting demonstration subsequent two-day workshop in July.

His paintings will be shown in a ”Mini Exhibition,“ out-of-competition.)

Jill M. Pottle

Faculty Member, Danforth Museum of Art

Jill M. Pottle is an artist and educator. She teaches classes in several media at the Danforth Museum of Art in Framingham, MA, and exhibits her paintings and pastels locally and nationally. In 1977 she graduated from Syracuse University with her B.F.A. and in 1989 she graduated with her M.F.A. from the Museum School in Boston. Jill won two grants from the Somerville Artists lottery and has published in the Artist’s Magazine. Her works have been included in shows at the Fowler Art Gallery, Provincetown Artists’ Association, the East End Gallery in Provincetown, and she has had a one woman show of still life paintings at the Attleboro Art Museum. Her work can also be seen at the Powers Gallery in Acton, L’attitude Gallery, Boston and at the Walside at Fruitlands Museum, where she was an artist in residence in 2011. Collections include: Hebrew Rehabilitation Center for the Aged in Roslindale, MA, Sterling Drug Inc., and Fidelity in Boston.

Guidelines

Eligibility: All artists age 18+ living in MA, NH And RI.

The works should be realistically rendered (No abstraction) within the last three years, using

traditional painting and drawing media. No photography or video.

Work must be available for exhibition and for sale.

Image Entry: Digital format (large jpeg files, 300dpi)

Only CD, DVD, or online upload will be accepted for entry - see instructions below for details.

No Prints or Slides.

Entry Fees: 1-3 images, US $25.00; 4 images, US$35.00; 5 images, US$45; 6 images, US$50.

(there is a six-image limit to the number of images that may be entered. However, it is up to the judge to determine how many paintings will be accepted.) Payment may be made by check (payable to Woodshed Gallery), money order, or credit card Mastercard, Visa) or online via credit card or paypal.

Entry fees are non-refundable and must be included in the entry.

Additional Information: Your submitted CD or DVD will not be returned (they will be destroyed

after review and use). Winning artists are not required to be present at event to receive awards .

Art Sales Commission

All work must be available for sale.

The commission structure is 30% gallery and 70% artist of the price listed by the artist on the

Entry Identification List.

Framing & Delivery

ALL WORK MUST BE FRAMED OR GALLERY WRAPPED, wired and ready to hang.

Artists must bring art to gallery in person. (No shipping)

HOW TO PREPARE YOUR CD OR DVD

1. Use one standard size CD or DVD for all images entered.

Write your complete name, phone number and e-mail address on the CD/DVD itself.

2. Save all work images as jpeg files.

3. Images must be of excellent quality in a jpeg file and 300 dpi, with the longest side at least 1200 pixels

(If you don't know what that means, send the biggest photos you have)

4. The jpeg file title should include your name followed by the title of art work. If your work of

art is untitled, please number them. Example: Joe-Smith_Apple-Pie.jpeg or Joe-Smith_1.jpeg

5. Before sending CD/DVD, please double-check that CD or DVD & all jpeg files open properly.

6. Completely fill out Entry Form and Entry Identification List.

Do NOT include an artist statement, resume, biography, or curriculum vitae- entries will be

judged solely on artistic merit.

7. Mail the CD/DVD, Entry Form, and Entry Identification list and payment to
